Aegean noticed the increasing traffic to its site from mobile devices and, releasing the need of every modern passenger for instant access to any service from any device while traveling, ran the extra mile and enriched its online services, providing customers with an optimized experience.
The entire project consists of the design and development of three different sites, all under the same roof of aegeanair.com. Apart from the main site that enables users to book their flight, check in, rent a car or book a hotel, Aegean’s frequent passengers can log into the Miles+Bonus site and find personalized information on their account, earned miles and benefits. Last but not least, the corporate site of Aegean (http://en.about.aegeanair.com) offers plenty of information about Aegean to its employees, investors and media.
Aegeanair.com is based on Sitecore 8 and it has been one of the most complex implementations globally ever made with this CMS. The website connects and interacts with various third party systems, such as GDS Platform, CRM System, Frequent Flyer and Loyalty Program and Car Rental and Hotel Booking System, seamlessly providing real time information on Schedule, Fares, Flight Status, Route Map, information regarding the Miles+Bonus program etc.
